HillPac (2.00 / 1)

Who's going to be the first "candidate" supported by HillPac?

I'm not really high on Obama's speeches but I thought the coolest part of the speech today was when the crowd cheered at the mention of his Kenyan father herding goats.  It is kind of a sad indictment culturally here that Obama cannot mention his father's background too much.  Hopefully, things will change soon.

Well I'm interested to see that ..However (none / 0)

Hillary supporters including Hillraisers gave about $1.8M to Obama's campaign for June. I'm hoping the amount will go up..
I hope Obama mentions his father's background more without fear. But also I would like to hear more about his mother.  She was such an accomplished woman, but somehow it took a long time for the campaign to talk about her..

Oh, I'm sure the amount will go up. (2.00 / 1)

I donated hundreds to Hillary, even though I couldn't really afford it, and in the end I guess I'll do no less for Obama. I've only donated $65 so far, but as we approach the GE, I'll make it a higher priority. I bet a lot of people are taking a break from fundraising. Things will get more exciting soon.

Even John McCain lusts after teh engels.

Traditionally folks start paying attention 2 weeks (2.00 / 1)

before convention or after the Labor day...thus far an estimated 2200 HRC supporters donated to Obama. I bet the number would be higher if the donors less than 200 are counted. And yes, it will surely go up from here.

Gibbs is apparently (none / 0)

persona non grata with the media according to the frontpage TNR article.  I guess that secret meeting with Hillary is what started this battle with the media.

Gibbs does come off as kind of a dick in the same way that Wolfson does.  You would think that bringing on Linda Douglass would soothe relations with the press given her standing with most of them.

Like most folks, the media like schmoozing and flattery..for them access to candidates works like steroids.. remember media's love for McCain and the Straight Talk Express in 2000 or the embeds for the War on Iraq or Millergate...ah well..hopefully Obama's campaign would smoothen things quickly..
